Has anyone ridden one yet? Looking at replacing my anthem with one.
Gets a lot of love on the Bird owners FB page. I'd like one but can't justify the new cost at the moment and I'd like to demo one, for my needs an Anthem might compliment my AM9 better. Good company to deal with mind

Discussions on how the LT changes the bike and how it feels.
yep - I LT linked my 120 at the end of last year after having run it with 140 forks for a few months after Bird officially approved those with the frame. It's more balanced as a result and great fun to ride. The PB thread and FB group have a lot more info so I'll not repeat it and can't compare with the Giant but I really like the bike. [insert standard comment about demo if possible]
I’m curious, I understand the LT as an option for existing 120 owners but if buying new wouldn’t the 145 be a better option? Or are they fundamentally different geometry wise?
They’re different geometry wise. The 145 is a few degrees slacker in the head angle I think. Not sure if the 145 might be longer too.
I’ve got a 145 but “lt’d” it and it actually made it a lot poppier and more fun. It sounds like the 120lt linkage does similar for the 120.
the 145 is a good deal longer as well I think, especially in the wheel base? Its more for monster trucking I think; I think the 120/120LT is aimed more at all-day riding and as much about climbing as descending
Guessed so, cheers for the clarification
I've got the 120LT too - set up 130/130. Agreed it seems a touch more lively (though would equally concede that it could have been placebo effect). I like it, so am keeping the LT in. Seems a bit more balanced to me. I've not noticed the lower BB having too much of an effect (in terms of pedal strike), but could also just be getting better with my technique.
It's going back to the nest tomorrow for a service, and putting the debonair air shaft in the Pike. Have been toying with the idea of making it 140mm, but will probably stick with 130mm. Maybe. Possibly.
@joemmo - have you noticed much difference between the 130 and 140 fork...?
Cheers,
Rich
I went from 130mm to 140mm and found that it doesn't change the geo much, but it just made the fork feel better (I had a Luftkappe in before and after the change). I found it easier to get to a setting I liked more than when it was at 130mm. I struggled to get a balanced setting I 100% liked at 130mm.
Cheers - am seriously considering it. Have to admit, I've struggled getting the fork set up quite right (partly why I'm getting the debonair shaft put in).
Got to the shop this morning and they were closed (because of the weather). Can't say I blame them - it was pretty grotty on the roads this AM.
@richbowman I think the debonair spring made more difference to my Yari than the extra travel but it's hard to separate the two. If you're considering changing the spring anyway then I'd say you have nothing to lose by going to 140.
Cheers - booked in for the new Debonair and an increase to 140mm... Should rip...!
