Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster...

I've ordered a Bird 145 frame and wanted to check which invisiframe kit is correct - I *think* it's the 2017 model as linked below, but does anyone know for sure? I emailed Bird a few days ago but no reply yet (apart from their Covid response times auto-reply) and am wanting to order the invisiframe kit ASAP.

Frame ordered: M/L in Lime Green: https://www.bird.bike/product/aeris-145-frameset/#configuration

Yeah that's the right one.

It's certainly worthwhile, Bird are great, but the paint does love to chip and scratch.

it's great fun to fit... :S
i recommend a scalpel too, there's a few bits that will fit better if you slit them, especially the the chainstay bridge part.. mine is now a dirt trap as it didn't sit porperly.. :S

and yer its pretty easy to pick up chips otherwise

I fitted this kit to my AM160 a few weeks ago. Ben @ Bird warned that there were some changes on the stays that I'd need to modify for, but I guess these apply only to the 160. It wasn't hard to modify satisfactorily and as above it's hard to fit where a fold is required without enough face both sides to create an easy bond, but you get there in the end. Tubes and bigger areas I found fairly straightforward.

I've just done the same to my newly purchased 145...I didn't buy the kit though. I hot a 3mx100mm roll of heli tape from Ebay and a roll of 3m 2228 tape and cut them to shape myself. I've covered all the contact areas possible. Easy to and all for the cost of £30.
