Had a brilliant ride yesterday, following the route guide from the latest edition of the paper mag. Perusing the route on the map put the idea in my head that there was going to be a lot of road sections, but that really wasn't the case, loads of variety of woodland, moorland, rocky, slippy aceness. And towards the end of the ride, a proper close up view of the KWVR class 37 as it arrived back at the Oxenhope terminus. Lovely.

Just had a couple of hours riding Harden Moor and Cottingley Woods. Lovely. It's on my doorstep and I never get bored of it 🙂
The route in the latest mag is pretty good but can be made even better with some exploration and cheekiness.
I did suspect that, but suppose a commercial magazine can't really go promoting potentially loads of readers riding on footpaths. The paths through St Ives woods look tempting for example.
If we do it again in the summer, I might tap you up as a guide if you don't mind.
I had a quick glance at it earlier - there is still some cheek in there, or is all Bradford Council approved loveliness?
Whins Wood bit is FP, no?
Sounds like a perfect day out in all respects, tthew - proper envious!
None of it was way marked as footpath, unless I missed a sign. The Whins Wood bit is not pink dashed on the map but black which appears to mean 'path' so presumably has no official designation.
And yep, pretty much perfect. I even arrived home just as my tea came out of the oven. 8)
I was out with Simon this morning, used to live in Wilsden and along with Si crafted & created a lot of that cheekiness, it's truly great riding, even at this time of year
