I am going on a mtb trip soon and rather than just take loads of photos there are sections which I would like to video (by the way I am no photographer/videographer). However, I have no equipment and would need to purchase so I am after recommendations for the full package (camera, mounting options, charging, spare battery etc) please. Top of the list are ease of use, mounting options (helmet?) etc.

Thanks

If you go fora gopro go for a 7 or newer for the stabilisation. Would recommend a wind slayer cover or your audio will be useless. Prefer the look of video shot on a chestie rather than the helmet - think it looks more involved.

I am no expert though, hopefully someone that does a fair bit more videoing than me will be along with better advise

I got a DJI action 4 for Christmas as it seemed the best balance of cost/quality. I use it with a chin mount and it's very easy to use. There's plenty of youtube videos comparing DJI, Gopro and Insta360 cameras.
