We've just come back from a 2 week trip there and the biking is excellent and varied. Hosts Ian & Angela do an excellent job of guiding & feeding you in their chalet hotel - with free beer etc.. First week was riding a selection of local trails and then 2nd week a 4 day Summit to Sea trip ending up in the Med. (rather like Trans Provence earlier in the year....). Definitely recommended. We've ridden with Bike Verbier, Trail Addiction, Rivierabike a number of times and Alt Adv are up there with them for sure. Their home page now features a cool S2S video as well. Check them out.
I couldn't agree more. I had my first guided trip with them & Ian and Angela were superb not just at guiding, but also at taking the time en route to help with a little skills training so that by the end of the week I had not only had a great holiday but could tackle riding that was daunting to me at the beginning. They're also very good cooks 😀 Highly recommended.
I too took my first ever guided tour with Altitude Adventure. All my other off-road tours have been self-planned and self-guided.
The Summit to Sea trip going East to the Med from near Andorra was an absolute blast. Good, long uphill pulls along ridable fire roads and some really technical downhills. Actually, plenty of good downhills.
The scenery is fantastic and the hosts, Ian and Angela are like-minded bikers whose business is well thought-through and delivers everything you'd want. Good accom, food, kit.
Give them a try, you'll not be disappointed. You may be tired and have a great photo album, but it will be money well spent.
Had a three day break with Altitude Adventure and highly recommend them, Ian and Angela were great hosts from picking us up at the airport through to taking us back, guides and cooks (packed lunch included!).
10 of us were there early April for the 1st biking session of the season (they do ski tours and guides in the winter season)when the mountain tops were still covered in snow and a great time was had by all. Fantastic scenery, even better riding. Seems like they had a lot of local knowledge and their background helped alot, cannot recommend them enough. LOvely relaxed environment. Nothing was open in the village when we were there as too early in the season but theres not alot there when it is open - maybe one bar and one restaurant? Lovely quiet place, skiing is meant to be brilliant too.
