My trusty Revive was starting to be a bit slow to return. On taking the cap off the valve I was treated to a hefty squirt of air and oil.
Pumped the post back up to 250 psi and all was well for half a ride until it went back to not wanting to return to full extension.

Does anyone know if this is user fixable or a job for the experts?

Cheers

So the schrader valve leaked oil even when not depressed?

You could try just replacing the valve core, and sticking in a bit of oil during the process (from memory, something like 5wt will do it, but check with Bikeyoke), which might sort it.

But getting exactly the right amount of oil is a bit hit and miss, so if you've had the post a while, a service might be the way to go - you'll need a service kit from Bikeyoke, a set of circlip pliers, and grease and oil, obvs. It's not that hard to do, there is a good online video from Bikeyoke.

They're normally pretty good when it comes to responding.
