Now, I'm not one to shy away from expensive bikes, but £5,500 for that fatboy makes me wince 😯

I don't actually want an ECR, I just want a life in which owning an ECR made sense.

I've had an irrational hankering for one of these for years. And I don't even ride downhill, nor would I know how to:

[img] [/img]

Looks nice though and feels - to me anyway - like it is probably the definitive downhill bike.

Not quite sure what I'd do with it though - and that seat would have to be tipped forward a tad.

TBH, I'd probably find this more useful:

[img] [/img]

Want one of these too. Does this make me a SC fan boi?? 😕

if I could justify the spend for a bike I would only use occasionally,
then a handmade Demon ti 29er would be top of the list,
so many nice details and options.
plus he is local to me.

Want a Rocky Mountain Sherpa (probably re-sprayed all black or green), and as BigDummy says above, the lifestyle to use it all the time across the world. So basically Cass Gilbert with a different bike 🙂

Turner DHR, the current one.....the machining around the BB and shock mounting/pivot does funny things to me...will be my 40th birthday present to myself.

Was going to ask if you had seen the big sale on DHRs but on checking the Turner website the DHR isn't there anymore, looks like it might have been discontinued. Wonder if there's a 650B model coming?

big thanks to DaveRambo for bringing Mason bikes to my attention. I can see a purchase happening very soon. The resolution is pretty much my ideal road bike.

A cervelo and a condor may well be appearing in the classifieds soon....

Really fancy a Liteville 601 but cant justify it as a replacement for my Mach6, I just don't live near the Alps and have access to super steep scary trails or the German accent which, based on my browsing knowledge, both appear essential elements to ownership.

One of these:

Available in 24 days time.....

I too have a bad case of the ECR's, but don't need one.

I have fancied a Trucker for ages and need a replacement tourer, so I'm getting one.
🙂

With silver Campagnolo and the Ti Rolls that's in the box in the garage.

A good friend has one of these

[img] [/img]

that I've ridden a few times and it was brilliant fun. I'd love to own one.

I'd also like very much a Look 396

I'm also always looking for a Bianchi Cavaria frameset

reggiegasket- I've just cleaned out the bike fund for an Evoke, which is being built up as something of a best bike at the moment. Getting excited about its arrival in a week or two.

Not sure about commuting though, since I don't think it'll take guards?

@stewartc I have a 601 but don't live near the alps or have a German accent. It's a very useable bike for all sorts of riding.

dpfr - yeah it's a tad nice for commuting I admit but I just love the angles and elegance/simplicity of it. I've currently got an Airborne Carpe Diem ti bike for commuting which I've had for about 8 years. I just fancy a bike which I'll keep forever, and a good ti frame with classic angles is the obvious candidate. Enjoy yours!

One of these, even though I can't really afford to ride DH, it has a proprietary shock and chain device, I don't think there is a UK importer, I don't know if they still make them, I don't have the space..........but look at it.[img] [/img]
