My friend from Peebles/Innerleithen area has had two mountain bikes stolen in the early hours of this morning (29th July 2018), so hoping people here can keep an eye out and let me know of any possible sightings etc... Bikes are:

1) Bird Aeris AM9 (29er). Size Large in Lime Green. Only a few months old.

2) Kona Satori (29er), Size XL in white. I think a 2012/13 model.

Any help would be appreciated.

That sucks. Get him to drop me an email and I will mark it as stolen incase someone tries to request a warranty transfer... and a discount code for a new one hoping insurance pays out!

The amount of bikes getting nicked in the peebles area is just ridiculous. Such a shame

Where do all these stolen bikes end up, so many high end bikes getting knocked assuming they are doing it to sell them on who is buying them.

Where do all these stolen bikes end up, I dont think they end up on council estates anymore. I think they get horded and the parts sold on in europe and uk or sold on years later something like that.

Really sorry OP. In devon so doubt they’ll surface all the way down here.

Ben that’s a class gesture - there’s a reason people buy Birds and it’s not just the great bikes (I’m an Aeros owner FWIW)
