I've just seen three adverts in succession that featured bikes, Land Rover ad (MTBs), Coca Cola ad (fixies) and Barocca ad (Brompton), yet I can't ever recall a TV ad for bikes. I can think of three other ads running at the moment which have at least one bike in it (think 118, got your back). So maybe bike bikes are now so cool that it helps sell other sh1t by association.
Halford's ads.
PayPal uses chain reaction. Bergaus used rob jarman ridin an mtb. Sure (the deodorant people) did. Watch Eurosport/itv4 when cycling coverage is on, theres loads.
There is a car ad (seat maybe) at the moment that is pretty much a specialised ad.
That Seat Ad reminds me of my earlier days of mountain biking where we'd be up drinking all night before a ride.
You're right - bikes are cool and help to sell other stuff.
Look in the background of lots of current adverts and you'll see a bike. All sorts of different bikes but bikes never the less.
They're everywhere and I think it's kinda cool 8)
Shows we've reached the tipping point... cycling is now cool and has mass appeal. The more you see it in ads, the more it's associated with being 'a good thing' and the more people want to do it... and you have a virtuous circle...
Which is why J Clarkson is so upset at the moment 😀
I know Halfords do a generic bike ad but I meant a specific bike company ad. It would be cool to see what companies could come up with, like the "26 isn't dead" vid from Cotic and "The Thing" vid from Orange.
Bloody expensive thought and guess who gets to pay.
Noobs.
"I were right about that saddle"

about 3000 years ago, there was a tv advert for the raleigh activator.
the advert was much better than the bike.
