I’ve an Alpkit 20l handlebar bag, having fitted it without a harness I’m a bit conscious of it wobbling about - is a harness worth it? The cheap Joey one from Alpkit could be an option https://eu.alpkit.com/products/joey or is there a similarly priced alternative that anyone can recommend?
Also I how trustworthy is the waterproof news of the dry bag? https://eu.alpkit.com/products/airlok-xtra-dual-13-litre
Worth another liner or is that ott?

I can't comment on the harness as I haven't tried one. I just use a cheap (Mickey) loop bar from On One, I think I paid a tenner. I strap things to that, its very secure with my tent on it.

I used an Airlock bag strapped to the bars for several years and it was fine. I never felt it lacked security. Where a well designed harness wins out is that it makes it quicker to attach/remove the drybag, and can help clearing cables, etc. I can't comment on whether that simple Joey harness would be worth having.

I consider Alpkit 'drybags' to be water resistant rather than waterproof. Fine if you're putting stuff like tents in them. I'm currently using a Decathlon bar bag that I'm impressed with (currently out of stock but, contrary to the comments, it does have an air valve):

I use it with an old Topeka Frontloader harness but, based on the bag I'd consider trying out their harness (which is in stock):
