Hi alll,
Havent been around much recently, but have started getting back into riding recently, and now in need of a reasonably close fitting bike stretchy windproof jacket. The missus bought me an Endura Pro SL in XXL and sleeves are okay but way too tight across my stomach (I know I need to lose weight but the in the mean time) 🙂

Any suggestions as to who does nice jackets for larger people? Im 6ft 2, about a 48 chest and 40 waist. Any suggestions?

Why not look at some of the outdoor clothing brands like Mountain Equipment. I'm a bit smaller than you, but have a 43" chest and 34" waist so need kit you can adjust at the waist which cycling stuff usually lacks. I also in general find outdoor clothing is made to a much better standard than most cycling stuff.

Galibier are my cycle clothing retailer of choice (6’ 1” and built for comfort not speed here) Sizing is fairly accurate as well - not continental cut.

Hi scottyjohn

you may want to consider Fat Lad at the Back.

I'm 6'5", 48" chest. I got one of their jackets a couple of years ago and it has been amazing, soft-shell on the front, breathable on the back, three big back pockets and a wee zippy key/card pocket.

Its just a little short - I sized up to 50" as they recommend to get longer, but its still a little short.

SHowerspass stuff is usually a good size. I fit their usual XXL stuff, but had to size down on the transit jacket as it was mamoosive. even the XL is huge.

Both companies staffed by really excellent and responsive people, pre and post sale.

Tbanks for the answers everyone. I have never understood why anyone wants to ride around with the large words, fat lad at the back emblazoned on it lol.
Looked at the showerpass stuff but nothing in there looks decent. Might llook at some of the outdoor stuff as suggested, had a North Face flight series windproof before and fitted well.

Thanks all 🙂
