I've got a 4 year old Canyon Spectral that's had a persistent issue with the pivot bearing in the seat stay coming loose in the carbon ( https://flic.kr/p/2nrFMCN), it's now happened 4 times in the same stay every time. Canyon have been good about replacing things, the first 2 times they sent out a replacement stay and the 3 time the requested the full bike for inspection after which they replaced the whole frame. It's now happened again with the new frame, it seems pretty clear to me it's an issue with the frame design / manufacturing that's causing it, though Canyon say they're not aware of anyone else with the issue. I have found one other case on the interwebs, but nothing else. I'm relatively light (~65 kg) and don't do anything particularly hardcore with it, just typical Peak/Lake District riding.
At this point I'm inclined to dig my heels in and ask for the most recent version of the Spectral frame. I'll probably have to get new suspension and maybe some other bits if they don't have the same standards, but otherwise I feel like I'm just going to be filling in the warranty form every 6-12 months for a new seat stay until the warranty expires (6 years total). What do others think about that, does it seem reasonable? Or should I be asking for a full bike upgrade to the latest model (lol)? Chances are Canyon will say no to both, but shy bairns get nowt...

Well they won't have to give you the newer version of the bike, but they might do if you ask nicely and offer a contribution (remember they are German).
If it were me, I'd probably get a replacement frame and sell it on rather than build it up - putting the money toward a new frame of my choice.
It sounds like they are being reasonable with what they have done for you so far. If it were me I would fill the warranty form in one more time, get it fixed up and sell it on.
i would just word it correctly and ask nicely. As if you dont ask, you dont get.
Point out that this seems to be a reoccurring issue and to save you heartache, them logistical costs etc, then maybe an upgrade to the latest model would be the best route.
Makes you wonder how many of the old frames they still have kicking around too.
Yeah, I did think about just selling on at the time they replaced the full frame - kind of wish I had now, but with availability the way it was it seemed like I'd be without a bike for a while! Might do that this time if they replace the frame again. Canyon have been good with me though, and I'm happy to kick in a bit of cash if they're willing to upgrade to the newest model so I'll ask and see where that gets me!
