Anyone know if there is bike uplift in the Zillertal Valley / Hintertux area, I will be there for a week from the 20th of October, I have looked on the Tux website and others and it's a bit unclear.

Cheers.

The cable car from Tux up towards the glacier will be open for sure, whether bikes are allowed on or not, I don't know. Looks like there are a couple of decent trails down underneath.

I've mostly been there for snowboard instructor exams, but my Mrs came along a couple of times and brought her bike, she ran into a whole lot of "no bikes" signs on anything that looked fun. 🙁

Was there last week.

Bikes are only permitted in the Zillertal valley lifts on: Penkenbhan, Kombibahn, Finkenbergalmbahn2 (so not 1!), Rosenalmbahn1 and 2 (though the docs only say 1) and Spieljochbahn. Some of the lifts in the gerlso pass also work. Everywhere else IST VERBOTEN! Hence the plethora of ebikes in the valley.

I reckon though that they'll all be shut for annual maintenance by the end of September.

2m rule generally applies to trails, apart from the singletrail under the rosenalmbahn 1, which despite what it says in the brochure, is definitely NOT suited to beginners.

Website linky thing,
