I generally take mine into the shower with me, rub in a bit of shampoo then tread them around a bit on the floor. 🙂
But we usually take a tube of hand wash available from supermarkets too.

Usually take them in the shower and then rinse well.
Washing them often and immediately seems to make the task easy.
I have learnt when cycle touring you have to love your bum or else.

Also, change out of them at the earliest opportunity as well and give yourself a wipe down - nappy rash is literally a massive pain in the arse when touring for multiple days.

Try to avoid using a river. Take the water away from the river and wash, poor water on ground and the soil will filter it.

You can use a thick plastic bag as a washing machine put cloths into bag with water and soap, roll up top "pump" up and down agitating water, poor out water and replace with fresh water for a few rises.

Dunno if you go commando, but when I did the West Highland Way over 3 days, I wore the same bike shorts, but had underpants on underneath. They were old, well worn ones, so I just chucked them out after each day and wore a fresh pair next day. 😀

Try and use a natural soap, i.e an actual soap not a detergent, and it will be the same soap I use to wash myself. A bar of something. You don't need specific cloths washing soap. Just use one thing to wash yourself and your cloths.

Old style (i.e. tough and a bit heavy) Ortlieb sacks make a good washing machine. Seal it up or roll the sides down 'inside out' to make a bowl. Obviously the stuff sack doubles up for holding your sleeping bag/down jacket etc.

Plenty of liquid clothes detergents to choose from.

Most of the time I find a campsite within a couple of hours of the end of day and grab a freebie shower and wash my top and shorts with shower gel. Hang sorts and top on rucksack and dry them if possible whilst riding to my bivi. They are not always dry for the next day so that's when the spares come out!. Only done a 4 day ride though!

Campsite sink or simply wash your clothes while you are having a shower. River if wild camping.
Ordinary bar of soap to wash yourself and your clothes. Available everywhere in the world.
Keep it simple.

so you are the only one who wares pants under cycling gear.... It's designed to be worn commando.

Wash?!

: )

If I'm staying in civilisation, B+B soap and dry overnight. Otherwise, sit in a stream now and then. Sudocreme to keep any nasties at bay, it's a good antibacterial.

Another +1 for the shower wash with soap/shower gel. Then hang them up to dry in the early evening, and a second set for the next day.

Worked for a 3 week trip in France cycle camping.

Paul.

Get an Ortleib dry bag not to small stick some water in, dirty clothes and some soap/detergent. Seal it and put it on the rack while ride or shake the sh1te out of it, then rinse.....turn the bag ou to dry.

I carry a tiny bottle of Ecover wool wash- pure soap, no detergent and kinder to skin if you've not rinsed clothing thoroughly enough. Works very well for me and as it's very concentrated, makes more sense than detergent gels.
