Afternoon all

A work colleague of mine has a nice but heavy Spesh Enduro that's great for Alpine duties - which he bought it for last year. However, for local riding duties he's a bit over-biked and consequently doesn't use it much.

What's the best way for him to be able to swap that (ideally for someone on the lookout for a burlier bike for say an upcoming Alps trip) for something a bit more fit for purpose (lighter) like a Trance for example?
Shall I put it in the FS forum for him and hope for the best?

Cheers all

Perhaps you need to 'sell' it a bit more. New rear bits, shock options?
Forum or sale. It is a good bike, very good. Swap for a Trance is unlikely, perhaps see what is offered and choose?

I've got an old Raleigh Grifter, that any good as a swap.

Definitely stick it in the classifieds as a swap. Even just sell the frame set and forks and buy replacements keeping the parts that may be of use to him. Not really difficult to do. Failing that n+1

I'd just sell it rather than swap, you're vastly reducing your chances of getting rid of it by trying to swap.
