Hello, I'm trying to sort out a storage solution for my wife's bike. She uses it for shopping and nursery runs with the little one. I was thinking of a floor stand similar to a "Pro Bike Tool floor stand" but not sure if her European-style bike is too big/heavy for it. The bike is a Otler Van Dyck Wave and it will be in the garage (currently just leans against the wall but isn't a great way of storing it, falls over easily/moves! gets in the way)
Any ideas or solutions would be great.
Kickstand, or a centre stand which will will also work when out of the garage. Sounds like the exact type of bike that would be suitable for.
edit - I've just done a Google search. I'd suspect there's already a bracket just behind the BB to bolt a stand to. Centre stand will be more stable if it's at all loaded on the carrier and it will stand more upright/be less prone to falling over in the garage.
On a bike used for practical stuff I’d be inclined to fit a nice sturdy stand to the bike that could be used anywhere
Edit: beaten to it so I will say +1

was my first thought too, also means she has a way to prop the thing up at any destination too.
It has a kickstand but it put it over on an angle too much for storing in the garage and isn't the most stable. I was thinking more upright position so it takes up less space. She will use it also to put our daughter into the rear seat before she goes out so needs a bit more stability if possible.
I think a central, two leg one that doesn't need the bike to lean is the sort tthew means:

For a floor stand, I've got one of these:
It's very sturdy, holds my XL e-bike (or my road bike or my 29er or my old 26" ... any bike, basically!) with no problems, folds up for storage and also goes out with me in the car boot to stand the MTB in for cleaning after rides. With a very heavy bike (like mine), it does help to put a foot on the rear leg as you roll the bike off, otherwise it's very simple roll-on, roll-off.
Not quitesure I'd use it as the only support while loading a child onto a seat, but then it does only just not really like me at 95Kg climbing on, so there's a fair chance it'd be ok!
