Not the topic of my latest book, ,but a request.  We are moving and this little building is set to be a bike shed.
I am not overly worried about security, as basically Sweden is Utopia* and **no crime happens here.
However I should secure the bikes somehow, mainly for insurance purposes. I am conscience of putting a big lock on as that says t "steal contents inside" and also you could probably rip of the wooden panels with your bare hands. Drawing attention to any break in attempt is the best i think as its very quiet here.
So what I was thinking was a small padlock, some sort of shed alarm (tips please), perhaps a concrete post or anchor in the ground , bikes locked to it?  whaddyareckon?
*it really isn't
** not much happens here, see *
If its for insurance reasons then check the small print of your policy.
Is Ken Brannah not about? That documentary he did about sweeden made it look terrifying!! Also is that girl with the tattoo's available to do some security work?
How about building a secure shed inside, so that from the outside (20 paces visual test) it looks like, err, any other Swedish shed.
Move to Swansea....
I left my Giant XTC outside the front of the house from 7pm till 8am last week....
Of course nobody nicked it, its a 26'r!
@maxlite Graham Potter our local english hero is moving to Swansea, perhaps i should too
If you don't want to draw attention to the shed then I'd opt for a padlock on the outside and chain the bikes to something heavy inside.
Have you tried burying stolen Nazi Gold underneath the shed?
It works in Norway

Is the shed on any sort of foundation? (Doesn't look like it at first glance).
I'd go for a small lock on the outside and then ground anchor / big chains inside.
won't your bikes go rusty in that sauna?
@brakes no sauna is inside the house, the hot tub is next to shed
I think I'd just do the minimum to satisfy the insurance requirements tbh.. Padlock on the shed door? Rural Sweden lol!
Don't advertise your adress on strava or any other social media app..
Check the insurance requirements ... they may not be all that suitable but no point having it if you don't comply.
If the requirements seem to make it more likely rather than less by drawing attention then perhaps disguise a "certified lock" with some garden implements or hanging basket etc. (at least from a distance it will look like a typical rarely used garden shed) ...
