So I have been playing with bike set up a bit of late. Raised my bars slightly and the difference it made was fairly big. For some reason bike felt more lively and turned quicker? I’m not sure why but does anyone know a good resource that explains what effects certain changes make and why? I’m pretty interested in the whole idea!

Since they design bikes I'd say Jameso and Brant would be the best to comment.
It's likely that raising the bars has shifted your weight back slightly so turning the bars is easier.
