Where's a good place to get a bike serviced in Bristol? Anyone have any good experiences they can share?

Used them to replace the frame bearings and bushings on my rocket. Quick, knowledgable, inexpensive.

Plus carrying your bike upstairs to the workshop is good hike-a-bike practice for your next mountain adventure / cx event 🙂

BW cycles, run by Oli Beckingsale. Their mechanic is top notch.

I tend to do my most bike maintenance myself these days, but when I've got stuck / needed a bike shop then Mud Dock have always been good.

Bristol Bike Centre - Frenchay area near M32 underpass.
Gary has done good work for me on re-threading a bb shell and a crank pedal hole, a proper mechanic.

If possible, get south to bad ass bikes. I've not met a better bike mech than box.

If you are near Portishead the NEW mechanic at Mikes Bikes has an excellent reputation. I think he worked at BW. Box at badass is great and worth the trip depending on where you are.

Ah, forgot about badass bikes as they aren't anywhere near where I live. However they did a great job on my RS Revelations - sourced me a longer air shaft and did a lower leg service at the same time. Not only did my forks come back with the longer travel but they were also smoother and much more plush. They're a proper Sram / Rockshox dealer.

I thought BAB closed a few years ago?

No, Box has just scaled down his operation and trades from a smaller site...

Best advice and service you could wish for. I've moved further away from Bristol now otherwise I'd always use him
