After months of my pride and joy living in our spare bedroom the time has come that the other half is now sick of falling over it and it has to move. I live in a 4th floor flat and have a shared drying room with our neighbour. Although he is a really nice guy, and loves the outdoors and has a bike of his own (a good old Raleigh Townsend) I am worried about it being stole. Was going to add a 5 point lock to the door with his permission but also looking for a really good lock and clamp. Budget of about £70, can anyone make any suggestions of what is best. how best to fit (brick walls and concrete floors) My thought was a clamp anchor bolted to wall and a wheel stand bolted to the floor to stop it falling over and getting damaged. then put a big f*** off chain round the wheels (given the fact that my new wheel build and forks are going to be worth over £600 alone) and another on the frame. Not sure how to secure the forks as well (if there is a way at all)
need to increase your budget IMHO but these will be a starting point in budget a proper chain will cost £100 + a proper ground anchor £50 ish

Aye, if its worth that much you want to up your budget a bit.
thanks for that. Need to revisit my budget then. a it more than I wanted to pay but I suppose £150 over 2k + to replace the bike is worth it. Kroptonite lock looks ideal. What ground anchor is recomended and are the alarms that CRC sell any good. Drying room is on the same floor as our flat so I could hear it if it went off.
Take a look at Almax security chains Ltd. You'll need to double your budget at least though. They are very good, hard and heavy as ...

These anchors are good, the package deals for anchor, chain and padlock are pretty good too.
Alarm is a very good idea.
