I know ski school is a thing for people with kids (from really young ages), but has anyone here done the same thing with one of the MTB schools in Morzine or Les Gets? And if so which would you recommend?
We’re thinking that it could be a good compromise either this year or next year as it would give the wife and I a few hours to knock out as many laps as possible in peace
and then pick the kids up and do something as a family.
Any help, advice or recommendations greatly appreciated.
It’ll probably not be this year but trying to figure out future holidays. It probably costs a bomb, but the other option is we take my in-laws with us to babysit the kids in the mornings and I’m not sure my (or more importantly my wife’s) sanity would survive that.

Sorry I can't help with your question but I'm facing the same dilemma this year. We haven't been to Morzine since before Covid and now we have Junior who is too young to ride and if we want any alone time we'll have to take the mother-in-law.
We've come a long way from drinking Mutzig and sleeping in hedges.
Yep, the wife says the kids are still a bit too young (both 5) for the dirtbag lifestyle we used to do.
To be honest, this year we’ve both accepted that we’ll be on a Morzine family holiday rather than a biking holiday with kids, but trying to figure out future options. I’m pretty sure both kids can easily handle the Green run at Les Gets so we’ll probably try that out, but we have both been going to Morzine for almost 20 years and it’s felt wrong the last 6 not going.
Also much as I get on with my In-laws, my MIL doesn’t really approve of girls doing ‘boy stuff’ like bike riding, tree climbing, etc. I think she’s already spent 30 years upset that the wife is a sporty person who kayaks, mountaineers, CrossFits and bikes all the time rather than boring ladylike activities.
When the boys were little they rode on my bike on a LOCT in Les Gets. Then on a Kona Stinky 2-4 - better kids full suss bikes are available now, but that was the one back then.
Last couple of years we’ve been with another family - four adults, four boys now 13-17.
We hire two instructors for a few half days.
The boys go in the fast group and the adults the slow group now.
Bike Experience - decent folk, both men and women as instructors, good at pushing you to the edge of your comfort zone and guiding you through the skills needed to manage that. I’d recommend them.

Those are ladylike activities round our way - or at least running, road riding, MTB, weight training, skiing and snowboarding are for my wife.
And my wife doesn’t regard herself as sporty - just someone who enjoys these things.
Les Gets Bike School.
Steve Ponting is a great bloke and runs classes for kids.
