Thinking about getting some bike scales, I could use them for other things so would like some nice digital ones.
The cycle specific ones on CRC seem quite expensive, any recommendations?
Cheap luggage scales off ebay if you're weighing a whole bike.
Weight yourself on some bathroom scales, note weight. Stand on bathroom scales again holding bike, note weight. Subtract first weight from second weight. Now you know the weight of your bike.
How accurate do you want it to be? Do you just want to know roughly how much it weighs or are you a budding obsessive weight wheenie?

Repeat 3-5 times take average.
Now take scales and turn 90 degrees and repeat another 3-5 times take average.
Hope the floor is very level.
Most scales in bathrooms are awful - lots of rapid changes between cold and hot with plenty of humidity ruins them.
Bike scales, take battery out, make up weight, post on internet.
Not been caught out at airports with bike scales or bathroom ones

Whilst potentially true, mine report to the nearest 100g, my kitchen scales report to the nearest gram, the sum of all the bits on the bike was the same by both methods, and matched the scales at work (which were calibrated).
Strangely many people will tell you with absolute certainty that your scales are under reading, I suspect you could catch a fish and weigh it with the same scales and they'd tell you it was over reading, that if you were on a diet they were drifting down week by week, that if you a body builder they were drifting up. All without actually seeing your bike/beer belly/fish or scales
Just bought some "no more excess!" luggage scales from amazon. - the ones with 4.5 stars from 2000 reviews. £7.50
The arrived last week, had them in my bag when I met friends in the pub and obviously we played Who Can Get The Biggest Number?
They broke at just over 100lbs on the display. Just a linkage, though 2 zip ties later and they weighed our bikes at believable weights. (19,21,23,26 and 28, if you're interested)
Not tested them with known weights yet, though. I'll do that and report back.
Bathroom scales:
My sister in law was convinced ours were overstating the value 😳 However I had to go in to hospital for a pre-op assessment, weighed myself in the morning, four hours later the hospital weighed me and the two values were within 500g.
So long as the scales are consistent then it's of little consequence if they are out by a small amount.
Bought some of these the other week. Weighed some stuff I knew the weight of and they were spot on.

Feedback Sports are the go-to for Weenies. Buy something else like an ebay luggage scale or bathroom scales if you want a random number to post on the interwebz
My cheap ebay luggage scales are within 100g of the machines at the airport.
Park scales are notoriously "optimistic". Still, that helps your LBS sell bikes....
2nd the cheap eBay ones. Mine are Weihung or something. Very reliable and accurate.

Spot on accurate or not, mine is consistent weighing my blubber, and that will do.
Same goes for weighing the bike. I'm not really looking for a weight weenie pissing contest, just interested in how my bikes compare or how much those new tyres have made a difference.
But generally I use my luggage scales. Dirt cheapy but it's always been bang on what the airline scales say which is fine for me. Not that I'd generally fly with a bike, but I use it for ski trips and have weighed the bike with it. Agrees with my bathroom scales.
I use salter samson digi carp scales which told me my giant glory was 47lb 12oz, so i sold it!
