I hate it when this happens.
I had a lovely Tallboy, one of the first ones out and used it for adventure racing - did about 10,000kms on it. Always said more travel would be perfect for general riding. Bought an LTc when they came out and sold the TB as i was 'retired'.
Now 'unretired' and need to build another TB as the LTc, while an awesome allrounder, isn't quite the tool for 100's of Kms of gravel road riding. Whoops.

Sold my maverick, now I seem to be playing musical frames as nothing compares to it. I am a silly silly man...

Stoner - normally i wouldn't (I have a 1989 Kona Explosif hanging in the garage FFS) but it seemed 'flash' to have 2 carbon 29ers. Now i have one carbon 29er, one alu 29er, one 29er Ti hardtail Serotta, the Kona and enough other bits to make another couple of bikes. Naughty boy.

I hear you brother, sold my kona to finance a rock lobster, still regret it now and that was 12 years ago. Also sold my Inbred when I was skint, gutted.

And that's all you've got to show for it? How many years worth? 😆

Bit easier to have an on one gathering dust than a £2500 carbon fancypants frame though!

stoner, some might say you appear never to have bought a (proper) bike - let alone sold one 😉

Hey Stoner there is something terribly terribly wrong with that first bike, the forks are all bent and all over the place. No wonder you couldn't sell it ... 😆

I miss my Soul. I wouldn't get another one, because I miss my Soul. Even the Soda isn't filling the gap.

But if I had it back I'd probably sell it again.

I have regret towards selling one I won't even be putting up for sale until January?!?

Annoying, because it rides really nicely.

Sold a lovely wee beetle-green Muni Mula a couple of years ago.

Still really miss it.

Panic over - thanks to Wiggle and it's lovely shipping I got a -8 degree stem and some ergonomic grips, chopped the bars down and changed the setup which works perfectly. While on Wiggle, how is it I can buy 2 pairs of Solomon shoes for less than 2/3 of the price of one pair here AT COST from the disti ! Insane. Free shipping and here in 4 days. Lifeis good. Sun is shining, g and t after a ride and about to hop in the spa.

I had a near new condition 1992 Litespeed Obed frame which I sold in June.
I could really do with another one now 🙁

Sold my Singular Swift complete due to getting left behind on road sections too much on group rides. Now i ride mainly alone, and realise it was perfect for me.

I very occasionally see a bright yellow 1990 Marin Muirwoods around Bristol - pretty much identical to my first mtb.

Wish I could buy mine back, wherever it may be.

Have regretted selling two bikes - a Cannondale Super V3000 and a Marin Nail Trail both from the mid-90s. Neither of them had to go it was simply a time when one bike was enough.

The V3000 went to a bloke at work who left and the Nail Trail went to a friend of a friend who used it as a commuter bike despite it being Ringle'd and Syncros'd to death. Last I heard it had been nicked hardly surprising really 🙁

A Cannondale M500, my first MTB, really wish I'd kept it now. I've still got the p-bone fork. Sold it to a mate for next to nothing who wanted it for his brother, who gave it to his girlfriend, who split up with him and took it back to Germany with her. One day I'm hoping it'll make it back to the UK and I get the chance to reappropriate it and reunite it with the fork.

hmmm... not sold and regret, but am pondering if i sell will i regret.

scott cr sl road frame, love it, but it was about a year old when i bought it and i've had it 3 or 4 years so the quandry is do i sell whilst its still worth something and if i do how do i know what i'll get (will be used again but newer) will be as nice to ride.

or do i hang on, value goes to peanuts and maybe risk the carbon failing at some stage at which point its worth zero?

I don't miss the two bikes I've sold. I gave them both a fair chance but eventually they convinced me that they were not my thing. And, as far as I know the folks that bought them enjoyed them....so all good.

Although thinking about it, one was a Ti/Lynskey/Richards warranty replacement job and it has had plenty of time to break again....so maybe he's not so pleased!

I regretted selling my Evil Sov for over 2 years. I got a BFe 10 months ago that has totally filled the hole in my heart that the Sov sat in. Love my BFe.
