Hi all,

A small group of us are heading over to Grimentz in early July for a long weekend - any recommendations of routes and/or guiding companies in the area?
Bikes and accomodation are sorted, we just need to know where to ride...

Cheers 🙂

Contact Dave at swissalpineadventure. If you can get him to guide you then you'll have an amazing time.

If you have issue 78 of the magazine then he's on the cover and he guided for the article on Switzerland. That was mainly in the Oberwallis region a little further up the valley but he's a walking trail encyclopedia and knows Grimentz as well.

There are quite a few trails in the area. If you are less than 6 people the post auto opens up a huge network of some pretty epic descents in the surrounding area too.

There's lots to do in Grimentz. Get the bus to Moiry dam, ride up from there to Basset de Lona (Grand Raid route) or over to Zinal. Use the Grimentz and Zinal lifts in the summer too. Great area.

There's downhill track in St Luc too - plus great riding from the funicular train.
