I found a bike stand standing at the side of the road in Stafford this evening. On Tixall Rd, by the 2 waters bridge.
Will the owner please form an orderly queue?

Did it have a bike attached to it (especially a nice one), if so it's mine

You're not expecting to get any sensible answers are you?

No, not really. But there was a trail of metal items along the road, so I'm assuming somebody discarded stolen goods off the back of a pickup truck.
It's still in the back of my van and I haven't had a good look yet.

Hope you have a waste handling licence, or you might get the local busybodies after you for fly tipping/collecting/handling !!!

What time? I went across the bridge about 6.15 and don’t recall seeing anything on or off the road.

No diggity for me. I picked it up at about 5:45 having seen it there a few hours earlier.
Annoying that our local police website says report lost & found property on their register but they don't seem to have a register you can report it to.
And yes, Scruff, that canal link? Are they expecting a bunch of ancient volunteers to carry out a major Civil engineering project so those weird canal dwellers can sail down to get hammered at Yates's?
