Bike polo in Edinburgh thursday night, meeting 7.30 in the carpark at the end of Breadalbane street for a few games. You can borrow mallets, bring any bike you like as long as it can survive a few polo-balls hitting into it and you can brake no problem one handed (you have a mallet in the other hand).

Also do I need to replace my spokes with disks? The photos make me wonder!

Disk-covers - honestly, most are just old estate agent signs. not all of us use them, but they do help protect the spokes from polo-mallets and to a lesser extent hard shots with the ball. you're more than welcome to have a go on someones bike for a few games if your own is a little too lovely.
Might be able to muster a mid-west team. Few of us caught a tourney in Utrecht last year. Bikes and mallets being worked on.
