Had a pretty tricky 12months, where I haven’t done a lot of biking at all. I have a group of mates who are going back out again, so looking to get something not expensive at all - so I don’t have the guilt of it being stuck in the shed + can’t afford anything lavish at the moment.
Iv got myself a cheapish gravel bike (Voodoo Limba) for £150 and just want another bike to do mainly XC - the odd smallish jump/drop when out with my boys so I have looked about and I can see the Carrera Hellcat for £385 new, probably still too expensive for me at yhe moment but I can get it through a work scheme.
Can anyone advise if there any good having ridden them? Appreciate there only 100mm travel forks but 29inch wheels
Or the Furnace
I have long been a any bike is a good start kind of a guy.
But my colleague got a hellcat at the start of the first lockdown.
He's had a nightmare with it. The hubs ate themselves in no time and they could not source a new wheel for about 6 weeks the mucked him about by not sorting gearing issues.
