Hi guys, i am looking for any help in how to pick the right bike lube? any advise in which one to go with? I have a road bike by the way.
roadies are hard as nails, you don't need lube, spit and sand!
I like rock n roll lube on my chains
Depends what you're lubricating.
You can, IMO, get by with:
General purpose grease (waterproof even better) for all your bearings
The heaviest car gear oil you can find for your chain
You can either buy a good known brand from a respected lubrication company (e.g. Castrol), or pay top dollar to buy some 'bike specific' lube off a trendy company to look like a trendy riding god/a silly billy (delete as applicable).
Rock n Roll Extreme here
Cheers for the suggestions especially TuckerUK.(I seem to have gone down the trendy riding god / silly billy route) - I was recommended a new product in the end called Nano Protech which is meant to do it all apparently. will update you on how is goes, but basically it is meant to lubricate most parts and is a good anti corrosive which will come in handy with my bike as i live in Brighton sea and air and salt and all that ha ha. its also meant to be for dry and wet condiitons which is again perfect for this country as i in know way beleieve the weather will be this amazing next week!
I went to their website and was quite impressed so feel confident it will work. i will let you know.
cheers people again! enjoy the beautiful mornings if you are cycling to work or if you have the day off and go for a cycle Im jealous
