I’m already getting sad about the darker evenings and starting to plan for winter - I need a brighter head torch for trail running and I’m also looking at getting a set of lights for night riding
I’ve had a quick google but can’t find anything, does anyone know of a torch that could be used as both head torch and bike light? I’m picturing a go pro style connection where the same body can be swapped across different straps and attachments etc
Cheers!

Great products & the service I have received has been nothing short of exceptional.
Pretty sure you can get an elastic head strap with effectively a handlebar mounting on it. Having the separate battery pack also moves weight from your head to a pocket. I'm thinking the lumen800 could work for you running & as a helmet light.
I'm sure Hope still make one, it does exactly what you describe, think it's called an R4?
I use an Exposure Axis with their standard helmet mount, and their headband for night running/walking. Brilliant lightweight option.
My missus uses a Joystick, but the Axis is better output.
I think most Hope lights come with a head strap, my R4 and R8 did.
I've ordered a helmet light from Chilli Tech. They have an offer of a head strap for running at checkout. Light was £29 for 800 lumen output.
I have two niteriders. One 650 for the helmet and a 1800 for the bars
Cheers everyone, apparently my google-ing wasn’t very effective and there’s plenty of options! I’ll have a look in your suggestions
Tried running with joystick and even diablo in the exposure and, not good, casts a big shadow to one side, and annoys the eye it's sitting right next to. Mibbe okay for walking, not fit trail running.
Better having a proper wee head torch for running, and a separate light for biking.
I use a petzl bindi for running, cracking wee superlight unit.
Joystick mk14 for biking.
Sod running with a battery pack light, no way.
Kind of feared that might have been an answer, just seems a waste having to buy two things that are so similar but slightly different! But right tool for the job and all that I guess
I’m running a Jobsworth 2000L which looks identical to the Lifeline Pavo version now available from CRC and Wiggle, and a Exposure Diablo helmet light. I’m particular impressed with the 2000L then only negative is no battery level indicator but it has 4 levels and I’ve never run it out, both can be powered/charged via a micro C cable and a power bank if extended use is required.
I run both on medium and high for the good stuff like below
