Hi,

Well it looks like we are moving!

The new house is smaller and doesn’t have a cellar like the old house.

Gonna need to get something metal in the garden to keep the bikes safe.

Not sure our household insurance will cover it.

Any reccomendations for good separate cycle insurance?

Thanks,

Max

It's much cheaper to insure as a named item on the house insurance.

Ask your provider.

Hi,

Thanks guys.

I will check household but think I was limited to 1000 per bike last time.

Spose I could say I have a lot more bikes!

I see Pedalcover do contents as well.

Really just looking for bikes only.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again,

Max

Barclays are ok. Cover accidental damage, too. Which is handy as Ison/Banshee haven't warrantied the Spitfire, and 50% RRP for a crash replacement is a piss take.

Barclays have provided good cover to us before but now with Admiral, never claimed but they have decent cover for bikes.

Pedalcover. Change your household to them. Bikes are now covered anywhere for full replacement value.

Pedal cover are spot on. Plus backed by a reputable underwriter,

only have to name my most expensive bike on policy. My others are covered with purchase information, pics, spec lists etc.

House is also fully covered for usual issues

pedalcover *was* very good for me for 2 years.  then had a burglary.  claim settled without any fuss, had to move just after and had to pay an extra £1k (on top of the £400ish premium).  needless to say once we were in I cancalled and went with another provider.  slightly worse cover but around £350 with named bikes up to £2.5k (admiral)

pedalcover were very apologetic about it all, and I will give then a try again come renewal.
