My home/contents insurer (Santander) won't insure my new Transition Bandit as their upper limit for bikes is £2500. What do people on here do to insure their bikes? My policy is up for renewal next month, are their any home insurance companies that would cover bikes worth more? I asked if they would cover it up to their maximum amount but they wouldn't as it would be undervalued!

Trevor.

I've used M&S home insurance in the past, and I think many other people do for bikes. If I remember correctly, they don't have an upper limit.

Alternatively you could get specific insurance. I've used ETA in the past, and they're very good, but I think it get's expensive with high value bikes, so I dropped it.

I think I'm with Halifax at the moment and they cover my Five at £2500. I don't think that was the limit though (if there was even a limit) so might be worth asking them.
