Looking for the cheapest and most effective hooks for hanging my bikes from the wall. The type that will hang them vertically, from (normally I think) the front wheel.

Any recommendations please ?

I bought some from Halfords at the weekend for about £2.50 each.

Not the bikehut ones they are about £10 each, the ones i got are a bit more basic but look ok.

these (but they were not £5.29??) http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_249484_langId_-1_categoryId_242557

Thanks folks.

Ads - have seen those on Amazon too. Do they appear strong enough ? Are they solid or tubular ?

They are tubular but seem quite strong, can't see them bending anyway. Get a decent fixing in and I reckon they'll be fine. I need to tidy my garage before I put mine up though............ 🙁

I had some of those Ikea ones a while back and the fixing bracket came away from the hook.

We have seven of these on the back wall of our garage. They have been up eight years and are still as sturdy and secure as the day we fitted them. Take 2.5 tyres easily

A lot of the ones above are not suitable if you want to rest the back wheel against the wall (if the bike hangs from the front). The Halfords hooks will though as they are offset at 90 degrees. I have about 10 of them, they are good value.

The decathlon ones can be rotated to what ever angle you want to fit more bikes in
