I have a work trip to Durban and Cape Town in February and was hoping to explore some of South Africa's famed riding for a few days.   Ideally I'd find some kind of holiday company that would include bike hire and guides.   And ideally it would be more enduro style than XC.   Does anyone have any recommendations?

We’ve used Jamie at Cape velo for Cape Town based cycling a few times now, he’s stellenbosch based. Top bloke can sort out bikes etc.

only ever ridden at Holla trails near Durban and took our own bikes for that- don’t ride round it in the midday sun is my only useful advice for Durban (that and curry night at the oyster box hotel and isle Maurice restaurant)

Not biking recommendation but if in Stellenbosch make sure you go to Tokara for wine tasting or better a meal. Outstanding.

This is the place where you search or ask  https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums

You might want to read this old thread and the one it links too https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/cape-town-recommendations-please/ . South africans like their trails a bit manicured but you should find some enduro style stuff in Jonkershoek(Stellenbosch) to your liking. Tokai near cape town has reponed in the mean time but not been there since so not sure what kind of riding they focussed on for the new stuff.

We were at Tokai last year, at the time it was open weekends only, but good fun, (lots of baboons scoping us out for food) didn't seem as manicured as the trails we rode out stellenbosch way but we are xc rather than enduromso we weren't after gnarl. Boschendal Wine Farm for eating out that way - superb.

As Hofnar says bikehub is great for advice and the locals seem genuinely pleased that people would travel down to mountain bike
