My son's current bike helmet is now too small and so he needs a new one, we looked in Halfords, but they were either boring or only had a chin strap (no adjustable headband) and so moved about on his head quite a lot.

Please can you recommend somewhere to get a new helmet. Thanks

Abus are great for kid's helmets.

Just bought one of these for Little Miss CFH.

Bell Segment Jr. is a winner for our 3, sees use on bikes, boards, scooters

No adjustability but over padding has kept them snug, never seen them loose or fall off.

Is there anything that goes smaller - wouldn't mind one for my 18mo when she's in the pull along trailer.

When the eldest grew out of the infant lid I got him a Met Crackerjack. The youngest has just got to the same point, and I got him a Bell Sidetrack. I think the Sidetrack is more like an MTB helmet, and so it has more coverage around the back. I though this was better given the kids seem to have the ability to fall over in all sorts of strange and interesting ways. They both have a twist adjuster to reduce the fit. The Bell one snugs down well for a nearly 4yo boy with a 53cm head. There's also a MIPS version if you want to go all-out.

Ours have used a previous version of a Met Gamer since they were about 3 (when they outgrew their 'Tater helmets). Tons of adjustability, well ventilated. They also had a small array of red LEDs in the volume adjuster twist, but constantly left it on, so batteries died quickly (and are expensive to replace, being coin type)
