Any recommendations? B&B near pub or pub with rooms ideally

I was just going to ask the same question myself. Won't bother now and will sit back and wait for the responses 🙂

Dunno about Accomodation but this place done some good food. We stayed self catering in Satterthwaite.

Be warned - the YHA in Hawkhead is very close but a dump

I was billeted in the damp, cold and mouldy Peter Rabbit suite so I suppose other rooms may be better

We're booked in at somewhere called the Cuckoo Brow in Sawrey in September. Looks superb...

Not got a personal recommendation for it, but I was looking at us maybe staying at Pepper House bed and breakfast in Satterthwaite in October.

Looks very nice, mentions a pub nearby and also that they have safe storage for bikes (although one man's take on 'safe storage' is not necessarily going to be the same anothers as we've discovered!)

We've booked a little self catering place just outside Coniston on this occasion instead as it's worked out cheaper for the four of us.

I've always stayed in the campsite in Hawkshead, about 5 minutes ride from the b@st@rd climb right up to the top of Grizedale, but pretty near the bottom of The Fox descent, Claife Heights etc.

Guess it isnt really camping weather right now though...

3 or 4 pubs within 10 mins walk.
