I bought my son a Voodoo Nzumbi a few years back to give us some father and son bonding time which was nice. Me and his mum have now split up and she’s taken the bike with her and won’t allow him to use it when he’s with me!
I’m looking for something to have at my house but haven’t got the money for a new one at the moment. Anyone know of any suitable bikes for sale or has the main components that mean I could build one?
The lockdown is causing him some boredom so keen to get him back out there.
I've got a gxp frankest and a set of bars, probably a pair of pedals too.
IMO she is punishing him by not allowing him to use it so I’d ask her to reconsider.
If she is the the non negotiating type another Voodoo. They are good value for money.
She’s definitely not the type to listen. Definitely punishing him but she doesn’t care as she knows it affects me also.
Weeksy - will contact you if I decide to go down the route of a build.
Probably not a huge help but my mate has a Ragley Marley frame with a seatpost that he is looking to move on - pretty good nick and £80 - it is 18" frame though so would only work if your son had already started his growing streak!
In case it is of use, details of the frame when new are - http://ragleybikes.com/products/marley-black/
Thanks DickBarton, he will need a 16” frame or smaller for what we intend to do! Thanks anyway!
