I'm struggling to ride my road bike without getting injured at the moment and am looking for a professional bike fit. At the moment I'm considering the Retul bike fit in Bristol although peak charge is £185. I'm also considering Bike Dynamics which is £139. Has anyone used either of these? I'm keen to hear of recent experiences.
I'm based in West wales so a good fitting service closer to home would be another option to consider - has anyone used Pro Motion Dynamics in Cardiff?
Cheers

I have had a retul fit and highly recommend it. It's not just about the fit but also how efficient it can make you on a bike. It will take into consideration all injuries you've had.

I will be getting another one done when I get my TT bike.

Sorry for the hijack but the same question circa North London? I'd like to get a bike fit done in Feb.

Mulletus Maximus any chance you can give me some feedback on the process and the differences it made to you and your biking?
Email in profile if you don't want to post on the forum.
cheers

I had a Retul fit - go and have a look at BikeRadar.com and find the thread about it. Basically the fit is only as good as the person who interprets the data, and someone who has been fitting bikes for years could do just as good as job without the Retul kit. So, the person who does the fit is more important than the way they do the fit.

My fit and several other peoples only looked at the saddle height, nothing more. They didn't account for injuries or address any of the other problems that I thought I had (such as a stiff shoulder and sore hands). I was very unimpressed with the whole thing.

i went to carlton road clinic in southampton

to echo whats said above - they don't use any system but i was more than pleased with the service i got.

one thing i took away is that bike fit is likely to change. your skeleton might not but the muscles and your flexibility most likely will. This also relates to measurement only fits!

Andy Morgan at Kinetic one is very good.

Very pleased with my fit off him.

+1 to comments about the fitter being key. I was still outside of the retul recommendations for a couple of stats when i left.

i went for cadence performance centre in south London and was very impressed by the fitter, service, quality of coffee and level of bike porn available 🙂

You could come up to Chester, get a retul bike fit at Romero Performance by an Olympic Gold Medallist. Bring the mountain bike too and go for a spin at Llandegla, marin trail or Penmachno.
