I ordered one of these in July with an August 20th delivery date - Ribble CGR AL e. That has been bumped twice so far and is currently 26/11/21 witht he hope they get some parts in time.

Yes, I know it is not their fault but I want a bike I can ride rather than read about so looked for similar priced alternatives that shops have in stock. All e Gravel bikes so shoot me now but anyone got views on these and which I should go for?

General riding around Hampshire and the New Forest with a fair amount of fire road trails rather than pure tarmac. E-bike required to support knackered and degenrating ankle injury

Orbea Gain 2021 £3,499.00
Merida eSILEX+ 600 £3,000.00
2021 Cannondale Topstone Neo SL 2 £2,900.00

Whichever one is in stock in your size in a local shop. E bikes break, need software upgrades, wiring looms etc. Expect to use the warranty a fair bit in first 2 years.

I have 2, a Spesh Creo SL and a Levo SL. Both great bikes, great dealer support. Had them both since last summer and they have each had their fair amount of electrical warranty niggles.

It’s simple to drop off at shop which is a 25 minute drive from home and pick up a few days later. Would be a whole different ball game if bike had to be shipped somewhere by me..

@WorldClassAccident

Im waiting for my carbon cgr. I'm hoping the lack of components and lorry drivers isn't going to push my delivery date back!

Out of those options I'd go for the 2021 Cannondale Topstone Neo SL 2 £2,900.00.

Do you have links? Is it all similar components and wheels etc?

What are ribble waiting for? I know if you order 165 or 170 cranks it adds to the waiting time. Can you manipulate your order to get it quicker? Different groupset maybe?

From Ribble "It looks like the main delay is with the delivery of the electronic components from Ebikemotion"

I have gone for the Cannondale. Realised the Orbea I had picked was road but I think they also have Gravel version in stock.

Might be worth considering Cairn? They had a couple of nice E-gravel bikes at the Malverns Classic.

I was considering Cairn over Ribble, as the Ribble bike I was looking at wouldn't be available until April next year, but unfortunately looking at their size calculator, I'm too hobbity even for their small. 🙁

The Gain is what Claire has WCA. Basically the same eBikemotion guys though so it probably depends on what they actually have in stock.

Cairn are Feb or July 22 delivery

Gain covers both road and gravel depending on how it is specced apparently

Ordered my Marin E2 in January, it's only just arrived in the UK but they don't have any lorry drivers to deliver them to the warehouse.

You couldn't write this shyte, it's been a complete cluster F***

Supposed to be with the shop on the 20th 🤞🤞
