Just mulling over a bike trailer for gathering fallen wood locally. Anyone do this or got one? Cheers.

I’ve got a bike trailer you can have, if you want to collect it.

I am always on the hunt for opportunities to fill the trailer with logs to heat the house and cook pizza. Following the recent breezy spell I have been busy!

I've got a carry freedom trailer. As it's just a flat bed is very versatile. I usually have a box on it for shopping trip and just whip out off for bulkier stuff.
The hitch is really good on the carry freedom. It's quite an expensive option, but it is brilliant.

I'll second the Carry Freedom for versatility and ease of use, and I've seen a video of someone using it for timber scavenging. I looked at the prices recently, and it seems to have got a lot more expensive since I bought mine.

I can see it working if there's a supply of logs locally, but that trailer must weigh a fair bit!

I've got a Bob copy, I've used it for everything from shopping trips to 100mile days with full camping kit (for comfort, not bikepacking). You do start to notice the weight once it's got anything heavier than groceries in it though, even a slab of beer is enough to be noticeable up and over the motorway bridge!

Thanks Toss. I started splitting and stacking today and feel I may have got a bit carried away with the scavenging.
