I am pretty incompetent on bike building but trying to learn. About to set up the gears but should I (try to) set up the front or rear mech first. Or does the order matter?
Looking at a few guides it shows how to do each job but not the order if starting from scratch. Thanks.

I always roughly set the front so it will hold on the big ring, set the rear, then fine tune the front.
