So I am building a new bike and to keep a similar feel to my other I have bought xtr shifters and hope evo X2's. My other bike is an older setup and has M4's. When putting the brakes and shifters on the bars last night, there wasn't enough room for the finger between the shifter and the brake lever as on my other bike.

Any help or hints would be great...

Most people now run the shifter outboard of Hope Tech levers, still feels wrong to me no matter where they're fitted though.

Okay, I did try that but it felt wrong like you say... seems odd, works really well on my other set up...

+1 for matchmakers I've got them on two bikes now makes the bar a little less cluttered ESP with dropper post and pop lock.

+1 matchmakers with X2 and XTR, works well, uncluttered and even weight saving
