I'll be taking my 29er HT on easyjet in June and looking for the best way to transport it.
Having borrowed a bike bag for a previous trip I'm fairly sure the larger wheels won't fit into all bags.
Can anyone suggest a cheapish bag which will definitely take 29er wheels?
Alternatibely I was thinking of using a cardboard bike box from a shop - has anyone done this? I guess it wouldn't be ideal if it gets wet.

Used a box before, perfectly possible just not as good if it's wet or mishandled.
Evoc will fit 29r wheels you might have to let some air out of very big volume tyres but that should be it. Not cheap but about the best out there.
