Went in WHSmith to get out of the rain and picked up MBR as there's some local stuff in there - Nice little article on the Bike Park that was WCA's brainchild. Went there a few times in the summer hols with my lad, nice way to spend a couple of hours. 🙂

Is it the one at the leisure centre about a mile from the hospital? I may check it out on Monday as I have a few hours to kill

Thanks Muke, didn't expect anything quite so grand in the middle of Southampton, looks brilliant

I must make a trip down there, looks great? Hampshire CC seem really good at supporting these type of insentives, I say that assuming they support QECP in a similar way!

It's not Hampshire CC. The sports centre is part of Southampton CC. Nick might correct me however in this case I think it was actually Active Nation (charity that run council owned sports facilities in Southampton) that were supportive.

It's a great centre that a small group of people have put loads of work into to build something quite special. As with BBB Nick appears to have a great talent for getting something going and inspiring others to keep it going and to grow it.

QECP get zero support from Hampshire CC or any other authority. Only permission from the park to build.

Yep its ace. Much safer than the old dodgy stuff in LW too.

My boy (now approaching 2 and a half) loves it on his weeride. Going to be a proper little ripper when he can ride properly 🙂
