I'm struggling to see past the YT Jeffsy:

https://www.yt-industries.com/en/detail/index/sArticle/615/sCategory/509

This is available for around £2100, the wheels are not too clever but the rest seems great. I'm looking for a new bike with bigger travel for extra confidence so I can do more enduros after catching the bug from doing one recently on my 100mm 29er.

I'm struggling to see past 29ers overall but also not allergic to other ideas either so any are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Might stick with the Jeffsy then!

Have a look at the Giant Reign. Schralpasaurus Rex.

If you can find one of these, a 2015, the spec is delicious. Geometry is spot on for speed, too.
Only change I would make is bars (carbon), grips (Personal preference for Intense ODI Lock Ons), tyres (I like Conti or Spesh) and saddle, maybe. I like Spesh Phenoms, but would try the Tundra before deciding.

I've tried one out and it was a hoot. Felt really planted, perhaps because it is long. Seriously long, as in covering multiple time zones. Not the greatest climber, but that's not why you'd buy a bike like that, surely? Fast enough uphill, ripping down.

BMC Trailfox is well worth checking out. It's a bit hefty, in the alu version but it's bloody good. (though, I'd budget for a new front tyre, the Ibex is kind of shit, just about OK on the back but I couldn't get anything from it on the front...) For me, it's too antisquatty, I don't appreciate that at all, but the geometry and handling is otherwise pretty much sublime. (I have a Remedy 29 as well which I think will replace the BMC, but it's a damn close thing)

Not sure if the Mega 290 keeps up on value but it's bloody good. Longer, slacker... The small mega is as long as the large jeffsy 😆 I was pretty impressed.

Haven't ridden a Jeffsy, the sizing seems plain wrong, the large's wheelbase and reach belong on a medium... And it seems a bit seatmasty too which could limit seat drop, I hates that. (I'm riding a large trek instead of a medium, and it's alright but more exposed seatpost = better imo)

On One Codeine is a deal but never really appealed, maybe wrongly so. Plus I'm steadfast Shimano. Good shout though.

Good shout about the seat mast Northwind - I noticed that and it bothered me. Completely agree with that - no good for confidence on the crazy downhills.

That BMC Trailfox looks good and I'm shocked to say the medium looks like it will fit - it's just a wee bit shorter than my 29er!

Keen on the Jeffsy myself. Going to FoD to give one a spin this weekend.

Hopefully it's terrible and I don't instantly need to go n+1.

Rose Uncle Jimbo is supposedly great uphill and great fun on the down. Perhaps the Giant Trance?
