Anyone running a 150mm fork on a 5010. I see a lot running 140 rather than the standard 130. I just can't see much of a downside to 150 (except warranty) it's for a mk2 frame. Looking for something a bit punchy with a bigger fork

Mate ran his with 150 pikes (neilforrow from here) and it seemed to work ok.

What year is a 'Mk2' frame?

I was told 150mm is fine warranty-wise when i bought my 5010 (bought new in December, 2018 model i think?) so that may not be an issue.

It was suggested that I add a 150mm fork in fact if i wanted to beef it up a little, as i was weighing up whether to go Bronson/5010 and the advice was go for a 5010 and if wanted bump up the fork travel later.

As Dave noted. I ran a 150mm pike and 34 of both my solo and v2 5010. Also with a -1.5deg angleset.

All the better for it. It is a really fun, lively bike to ride and a bit more on the front end simply reinforced that. If ever there was a bike crying out for a longer fork and that harks' back to the blur TR and LT's. No down sides for me.

Excellent, was worried it might be a bit tall and throw out the geometry. I like a 150 on my hardtail and don't really want less

I've got a 150mm fox 36 on mine and it is a little bit wandery on climbs. Thinking about getting a 140mm cartridge for it when it comes to servicing time.
