On 3rd June, myself, Paul Marshall and James Colbrook are going to have a crack at riding the Trans-cambrian way in a day to raise money for SANDS and The Laura Centre. We are doing this in memory of my son Henry who tragically passed away 21 hours after birth in February 2009.

The Laura Centre

The trans cambrian way is a 100 mile mtb route with 3700m of climbing. It's normally completed in 3 days. We're aiming to complete it inside 17 hours.

See the event website here for more details: Big Day's Ride for Henry

If you would like to support us with a donation that would be hugely appreciated and you can do this through this site: Donate here

Now I know some people on this site do not agree with promoting charitable events through the website. That's fine if that's your opinion, it does no harm to hit the back button and look at something else. Snide comments are unnecessary and not appreciated.

Thanks!

🙂

Please, please, please sacrifice all your animals to the weather gods.
Clear, slight south-easterly and a pleasant 18 degrees C would suffice.

I can't wait!!!!

What 26" tyres for the Trans-Cambrian Way ITT?

(semi-serious question...)

The Conti Oxymoron - rolls super fast, is dead light, grips on wet roots but has DH tyre grip and lets you get away with tired lines. 😉

How about some Bontrager Moon-on-a-sticks?

I hear they are good, nearly as good as the Thetford rubber specific version of the Specialized Cake&Eat It. 😉
