Help me out here please. I am supposed to do a tenth anniversary speech about the BBB but I have spent most of them in a non-memory gathering state.
If anyone can remember why the BBB has been good for the last ten years either post here or email.
I would love some special stories to shout to the crowd like when we ahd a 72 year old do the lake jump one year and a 4 year old another*.
Please share your memories as mine have drained away.

The bloke in the mankini doing the Xc race, the gravel rash of the bloke who fell off before hitting the lake jump, the awful shouty band who showed very inappropriate videos to a family audience, and probably lots more....always great fun and raises loads for charity too. Looking forward to it again this weekend.

Brilliant. I had forgotten some of those and had therapy for DrP and the mankiki.
We will be getting a memory board to record these at the weekend with the occasional story telling over the weekend.
No tickets left I am afraid so you need to find a snuggle partner. Unfortunately we have a backlog of 300 people also looking for snuggle paetners...

When my lad entered the boys XC short race aged 3 and came dead last to huge cheers and won a T shirt for having the best stickers on his helmet.
When you thought it was a good idea to leave straw bales out and the kids dismantled them. When Nick came to clear the straw up there were seventeen nippers hidden in it.

Thinking I was a style god and hitting the wood bridge at an angle and then hitting it with my face. Having to administer liquid painkillers over and over again. 😉

I was having my hair cut today Nick, chatting to the hairdresser and reliving the past 10 years of BBB...from that weekend we camped in your garden/lounge, to the following year when you took a huge financial punt on hiring AT, and how even at that fairly shoddily run booze fest with some bikes, people still had an AMAZING time!
Then I was telling her about how your 'baby' grew and grew in size, reputation, thrills, but always kept theat original BBB vibe...
Forget a huge speech, jsut tell people how proud you are of what you've given birth to. Because you can't ride a bike for toffee, your leg is knackered, your car modding skills a re questionable, but by heck you have a heart of gold, never give in entertaining, and know how to throw the best party(s) of the decade.....

Another fantastic event, again. The weather was amazing. A big well done to the BBB team.
A ride inspired idea: 2018 event = e-bike V bike V man.... Grid the ebikes on the front row, bikes second row, runners third row & one lap..... ??? Prizes for any bike that beats an ebike & any runner to beat any bike.
