Im doing the bristol bike fest as a solo and also need another pair of bibs so was wondering if there are any long ride specific bibs available.....
Ive got some old gore bibs that are comfy but the pads gone thin now and the cheaper (£130 ish) assos which have good pads but rough stitching so not good for so long .....
Any recommendations welcome

Have you checked the 6hr + bib aisle?

Most nice good ones will be good but not best to try them out on your first ride out 😉

My wife bought me some Rapha bibs a couple of years ago and they are the most comfortable shorts i have ever worn.

These: Oakley half price at Rutland
I have two pairs and find them really comfortable.
Race fit, so bear that in mind.

If you are happy with your Gore bibs then just get another pair.

I've used Assos, DHB, Red-White, Endura and others. The last long ride I did was just under 20hrs and I used Madison bib shorts for that. If it's warm/hot then I find that the Assos pad is a bit on the thick side and I get, err, sweaty 😳, my current warm weather bibs are the Red-White and the Endura.

For me, any Castilli with the KissAir pad and a smear of chamois cream.

Did me for the SDW and for 24:12 last year.
