Fed up with brakes working one day but not the next, I ordered a MT200 caliper for the rear.{the power disappears during the days riding and pads seem to get contaminated very quickly}

For a tenner, with pads ,delivered tomorrow, its worth a try

This will go with the Saint or xt lever{600/6000}

However, it looks like the caliper is BH59, and the lever/hose is BH90, as are the inserts I have.

So can I? or is the caliper going back already

It works fine - either hose will work in any Shimano product, so long as you use the correct inserts to match the hose type (Cant remember if the olives are the same too, double check that).

I've mixed and matched all sorts with Shimano brakes, in fact, I've even used both types on one bike, using the 'high power' hose, which gives a somewhat sharper feel, on the back brake which then means your front brake with a short hose, and back brake with a longer regular hose, feel even more closely matched.

googling tells me the olives are the same- but how do i know which hose type i have?

 I dont remember which brake the hose was originally from. And i just noticed the present rear caliper has a banjo fitting

Maybe better if I order new BH90 hose. Im also repairing a front brake,with a hose with gold insert, so i assume now that is bh59, and bh90 sounds like a better idea

So it is! (bh59)

I can reuse the inserts anyway

Isn't the internal diameter different to allow for differing oil flows?
IIRC the olives fit both it's the barbs that'll be specific
