Couldn't see a thread. We went out before the temps were due to rise. It was blooming cold especially on the tops. Roads were bonkers icy as well. Ended up being out five and half hours, 1200m of climbing, 40km riding out from Ross to the the Forest. Brilliant fun on the (slippy, snowy, muddy, icy) trails, bit of a deathmarch out and back.

Warm pub and a pint of Butty Bach were well earned.

If you're really bored, there's a video: https://youtu.be/6D_hBDebo3Q

Right what have you got. Was getting muddy coming home, going to be epically filthy next week so glad we made the most of it.

Brilliant conditions at Cannock

Big crash at end of the day has got me feeling very beaten up though 😐

Managed a couple of hours yesterday morning to make the most of the last of the snow dusted, frozen ground. Didnt see any other riders out, and only a couple of dog walkers braving the sleet and snow, it was a grimly beautiful ride.

Back to mud this week probably...

Enjoyed the video @rocketdog 🙂

Hope you're not feeling too battered this morning @kayak23

All the pics making me shiver... just 'fat rain' here this morning. Not going out in that!

Used the frozen ground (and the odd dab on the boost button) to go explore where we normally can't get to on the bikes

Friday:
Hermitage Woods at Stirling Uni.
Cut the ride short as I was feeling sore after wiping out on black-ice on Tuesday and then again that morning on the dog run. Happy days.

Bottle ice on the bridleways/trails high up made things interesting but good further down in the sheltered stuff, Glad to be out before it all turns to slop this week!

Was wet and cold so only one pic taken by my bro on todays ride. We wanted to go up top but prudence got the better of us and we just did a lower level loop. Funnily enough it also ended in a warm pub with a pint of Butty Bach. Just about thawed out now.

I'm not going out in this!

I could have taken pictures from the nice dry velodrome but they'd just look like every other velodrome pic...

Got out for a quick one on Friday afternoon

https://flic.kr/p/2o6yXak

I made the mistake of riding a really overgrown trail,
https://flic.kr/p/2o6wF3v

.... that dumped all the snow from the branches oon me, this slowly melted and made me quite cold, especially as the temp dropped and the sun set. Also frame mounted water bottle froze up!

What was your route today? Only bit I recognised was the race course, but then again, it's been years since I was last down there. #worcesterishome 😂

I had a frozen bottle that never thawed out from Weds night. Nor on any time in the ride on Sat. Or today in the shed.

Looks cold that @halifaxpete. Great pic tho.

I wrote at thing about winter riding but spent the first half of it whinging about Zwift 😉

Popped over to Twisted Oaks for a quick sesh, and try out the (new to me) Tennis Elbow 😣.
Still quite sore so had a pootle round the XC, and confirmed just how unfit I have become after 3 weeks off the bike. 😕

We had a perfect day on Saturday and a group of us did 50km offroad, pretty much all on snow, around Cambridge.
